I can describe the parts of a computer system and explain how they work together to execute programs.

Every computer has the same basic parts such as a processor, memory, and storage. The central processing unit (CPU) executes instructions and controls other parts of a computer system. All computers use the fetch, decode, execute cycle as the basic way they execute programs.
