Virtual modelling is an alternative to physical modelling that brings different benefits to the designer. Virtual modelling is the creation of digital 3D representations of objects or designs. Virtual modelling using CAD can be useful for testing ideas. Designers test their designs to find out what works, what doesn't, and how to make them better.
