'Heartbroken' is an adjective which means feeling very upset and sad about something.
'Sulky' is an adjective which means being quiet and grumpy and moping about.
'Disappointed' and 'miserable' are other adjectives associated with sadness.
Word choices must be precise in writing and speaking.
