Persuasion is the action or process of trying to change someone's mind or behaviour or convince them about something. Persuasion can be found all around us and is used to achieve a variety of purposes. The appearance and layout of a persuasive advert is crucial for capturing the reader's interest and engaging them. A variety of linguistic techniques are used in persuasive adverts in order to engage and persuade the reader. Linguistic techniques like alliteration, rhetorical questions, exaggeration and rhyme are common in persuasive adverts.
