Show transcript
Analysing an extract means considering its position in the text, word choices, sentence structure and context. An analytical introduction should start with a general statement about the text and then move to the specific. Mr. Utterson and Mr. Enfield are appalled at what they have seen in Dr. Jekyll’s face. Their decision to keep quiet is to protect Dr. Jekyll’s reputation and is a sign of their hypocrisy.
