Writing about the impact of a poem allows for a deeper analysis of its effectiveness. There are certain poetry conventions that we can include in our writing. Poetry conventions include naming the poet and title of the poem, using quotes and referring to the context. When writing about the impact of a poem we can discuss the poet, the poem’s imagery and structure, and the context.
