A solid compound word has two or more words joined together to make one word. A hyphenated compound word has a hyphen separating two words. An open compound word has two words that are separated, but are still behaving as one noun. A solid compound word is often the clearest way to combine two words to make a compound noun. How to spell the curriculum words: natural, pressure and strange.
