Times of transition in life can provoke different emotions such as excitement, sadness or nervousness. Talking about feelings can help a person to feel more comfortable and less anxious. An essential part of having a discussion is the ability to actively listen. Active listening helps a person understand different perspectives and empathise with other people's experiences. Moving from primary school to secondary school can be both exciting and daunting.
