I can spell a word in the progressive tense using the suffix -ing.

Adding the suffix -ing turns the verb into the progressive tense. When the vowel sound is short with only one consonant after it, double the consonant and add the suffix -ing. When the vowel sound is short with more than one consonant after the vowel sound, just add the suffix -ing. How to spell the curriculum words: though, although and through.
