Lesson outcome

I can use 'tu' and 'vous' with a range of -er verbs to understand and say what 'you' and 'you all' do.

Show transcript
The sound symbol correspondence [i] sounds like the 'i' in 'midi. There are two ways of saying 'you' in French: for one person you use 'tu' for more than one person you use 'vous'. To say you (singular) + regular -er verbs, the verb ends in -es. For you (plural) the verb ends in -ez. We call these two forms of the verb the 2nd persons singular and plural.
