I can use regular and irregular verbs in the perfect tense to describe past events in the life of a teenager.

The perfect tense is formed by combining part of 'avoir' or 'être' (the auxiliary verb) and a past participle.
Verbs like 'prendre' and 'entendre' in the present also form their past participles in the same way: pris, entendu.
Verbs like choisir, partir, venir in the present also form their past participles in the same way: choisi, parti, venu.
Verbs like 'traduire' and 'écrire' form their past participles in the same way: traduit, écrit.
Some common irregular verbs and their past participles are: avoir (eu), faire (fait), boire (bu).
