Lesson outcome

I can identify and use -er verbs in the present tense to talk about everyday activities.

Show transcript
[um/un] sounds like 'un'. -er verbs take the following endings in the present tense: je-e, tu-es, il/elle/on-e, nous-ons, vous-ez, ils/elles-ent. 'à' + definite article combine to make au/à la/à l’/aux, depending on the gender, number and spelling of the noun. Some verbs need a preposition in English, but not in French' e.g. 'chercher,' ('to look for'). Others need prepositions. Verbs can be identified from their position and ending; look for the infinitive form in the dictionary.
