Add 'est-ce que' to the start of a question sentence, on its own or after a question word. The modal verbs 'devoir', 'vouloir', pouvoir' and 'savoir' give information about another verb. Modal verbs are usually followed by a second verb, which is always in the infinitive form Add '-ment' to the feminine form of most adjectives to make them into an adverb.
