I can say who I am and what kind of person I am.

Je (I) and tu (you) are pronouns. They tell us who is doing the verb or who the verb is about.
Être means 'to be, being', je suis means 'I am' and tu es means 'you are'.
Consonants such as -s, -t, -x and -d at the end of a word are usually silent in French.
Four important skills for learning are: écouter (listening), lire (reading), parler (speaking) and écrire (writing).
