Show transcript
Most final consonants + final letter 'e' are silent e.g. 'dans' and 'timide'. Pronounce the consonant preceding a SFC. Adjectives agree with the noun they describe. Add -e to most adjectives in the feminine form and learn other patterns. The singular pronouns in French are 'je', 'tu', and 'il/elle'. The irregular verb 'être' means to be'. Put ne … pas around the verb to negate it. 'Ne' becomes 'n' before a vowel/silent h. Languages are not fixed; they adopt new words to reflect how people live and speak.
