[en/an] sound like 'enfant', [è] sounds like 'tête' and [i] sounds like 'midi'. Some adverbs are formed by adding -ment to the feminine form of adjectives when the English adverb equivalent is -ly. Where the adjective ends in e in the masculine form, add -ment to form the adverb e.g. rapide - rapidement. Some adverbs are formed by dropping -ant(e)/-ent (e) and adding -(am)ment/-(em)ment when the English equivalent is -ly.
