Aller + infinitive is a 2-verb structure to express what is going to happen.
The simple future in French is a 1-verb future tense meaning will + verb. It's 'simple' as it's formed with one word.
We conjugate the future tense of -er verbs for je, tu, il/elle/on by adding the endings -ai, -as, -a to the infinitive.
