Show transcript
To form the 2-verb future, use part of the verb 'aller' in the present tense plus the infinitive. Conjugate the 1-verb future of -er verbs by adding the endings -ai, -as, -a, -ons, -ez, -ont to the infinitive. The future stems for ‘aller’, ‘avoir’, ‘être’ and ‘faire’ are: ir-, aur-, ser- and fer-. Some verbs require 'à' or 'de' before an infinitive, e.g. 'arriver à', 'éviter de'.
