I can use regular and irregular imperative forms to give directions, instructions and make suggestions when exploring a Francophone city.

Montreal is the largest city in the province of Quebec in Canada. It is a bilingual city. When giving directions or instructions to a stranger, use the formal imperative 'vous' form. [oi] sounds like 'trois' and [oy] sounds like 'envoyer' ‘Être’ is irregular in the imperative. The 'tu' form is 'sois' and the 'vous' form is 'soyez'.
