'Ne ... pas', 'ne ... rien', and 'ne ... jamais' all wrap around the auxiliary verb in the perfect tense.
'Ne ... personne' is different to other negatives in the past tense. 'Personne' comes after the past participle.
Present and perfect tenses can be usefully combined to talk about sporting personalities, achievements and events.
