The conditional is a verb form that expresses the idea 'would'; it is often followed by a 2nd verb in the infinitive.
The conditional of -er verbs is formed by adding the imperfect tense endings to the infinitive stem, e.g. j'aimerais.
The infinitive stem in the conditional and 1-verb future means that the sound [r], as in 'rue', is in all their forms.
[a] as in ‘animal’ and [ai] as in 'vrai' are in the endings; 'je' future ending 'ai' is exceptionally pronounced [é].
Use the conditional of 'vouloir' or 'aimer' + infinitive to say what you would 'like' to do.
