Show transcript
Many sports in French are cognates but their pronunciation is quite different and therefore needs practice. Use 'aimer' + 'le, la' to say which sport you like e.g. 'j'aime le football'. Use 'jouer' + 'à + le, la' to say which sport you play e.g. 'je joue au football'. You can join two clauses together to form longer sentences e.g. 1) 'Quand il fait beau ...' 2) '... je joue au tennis'.
