I can describe how tropical rainforests can be protected using the example of Costa Rica.

Show transcript
Costa Rica is a small country in central America which once experienced the highest rate of deforestation in the world. Costa Rica was the first tropical country in the world to reverse deforestation. Wildlife corridors enable species such as the jaguar to move through the rainforest undetected. National parks, selective logging, small-scale agroforestry and ecotourism have protected the rainforest.
