Show transcript
Different types of goods are transported using different forms of transport. Different factors influence which mode of transport is used. The place of origin, distance travelled, weight, perishability and value of products all influence transport choices. Transporting goods long distances has costs as well as benefits. Greater food miles are worse for the environment and contribute towards global warming.
