Many people leave the UK when they go on holiday to seek sunshine and warmth, especially during the winter months.
The right clothes and equipment can help protect us from extreme heat and cold.
Many homes and offices in hot climates have air conditioning installed, although this uses a lot of energy.
The hot and wet areas of the world also attract insects like mosquitoes that might sting or bite.
