I can describe the reasons for migration and differentiate between types of migrants.

Migration is the movement of people from one location to another, this can be permanent or temporary.
Push factors are the reasons why someone wants to leave a place such as war, famine, lack of jobs and hazards.
Pull factors are the reasons for someone moving to a place such as improved job prospects, education and safety.
There are different categories of migrants such as economic migrants, refugees and asylum seekers.
