Moscow is Russia’s capital city and can be understood through the six features that interact to make a place. Moscow is located in western Russia on the River Moskva. It has a well developed infrastructure. Moscow is Europe’s largest city and is home to a population of over 12 million. Moscow’s culture has been shaped by centuries of diverse influences including religion and migrant populations. Moscow holds over one fifth of Russia's wealth and is home to the national government which is housed in the Kremlin.
