Show transcript
Migration is when people move from one place to another; the UK has a long history of people arriving and leaving. There are many reasons why people decide to move to a new country, or away from their country of birth. Net migration is the difference between immigration and emigration into the UK. People from different backgrounds bring different cultural ideas and skills to their new home.
