I can locate the Lake District and identify its key human and physical features using geographical language and maps.

The Lake District is a region of mountains and lakes in the north west of England and most of it is a National Park. The Park has all the land in England above 910 metres including the highest mountain in England, Scafell Pike. Wast Water, the deepest lake in England, and Windermere, the longest lake in England, are found here.
