Show transcript
Reading and understanding texts needs attention to vocabulary, structures and a focus on required details. A distractor is a misleading detail in a text or question option which tests your understanding of the detail of a text. We can use time phrases and verb tenses to distinguish between past, present and future actions and events. The BORDER acronym is a useful tool to respond fully and accurately to bullet point writing prompts. To develop answers, you can add information about another person, add a contrast or add another time frame.
