I can use da-compounds and the conjunction 'damit' when discussing examples of discrimination in everyday life.

To refer back to something inanimate already mentioned, add da- or dar- to the beginning of a preposition.
As a da-compound, 'damit' means 'with it/them'; as a word order 3 conjunction, 'damit' means 'so that'.
In reading, use title and picture clues, close reading, translation and comprehension questions to aid understanding.
