Show transcript
'Wie?' has two meanings: 'How?' and 'What ... like?', e.g., 'Wie geht's?' and 'Wie ist der Mann?'. 'Ist' means 'is'. Use an adjective after 'ist' to say what something or someone is like. Learners can build and use their own treasure trove of vocabulary that is important to them.
