I can say what I like and don't like doing using the adverb 'gern'.

[ä] is an important sound-symbol correspondence (SSC) and needs to be practised regularly.
Weak verbs ollow a clear pattern across tenses, e.g., 'spielen' - 'ich spiele' - 'ich habe gespielt'.
Strong verbs have a stem change in one or more tenses, e.g., 'fallen' - 'du fällst' - 'du bist gefallen'.
'Ander-er, -e,-es' is an adjective meaning 'other' and is used with an indefinite article.
'Gern' is an adverb of manner which conveys liking doing something. It follows the verb in a sentence.
