Show transcript
Nouns are often the subject of a sentence. Sometimes, nouns are replaced by pronouns. Subject pronouns show the grammatical gender of the subject, e.g., ‘das Lied ist toll’ - ‘es ist toll’. Object pronouns show the grammatical gender of the object, e.g., ‘ich sehe den Mann’ - ‘ich sehe ihn’. Use the accusative case with direct object pronouns, e.g., ‘ich sehe ihn’.
