Adjectives can be turned into neuter nouns to express abstract concepts, e.g., ‘das Gute’ - 'the good thing'.
To form an abstract adjectival noun, use 'das', capitalise the adjective, and add '-e' in nominative and accusative.
Using abstract adjectival nouns can help to vary and extend opinions, e.g., ‘das Beste (daran) ist, dass ...'.
Plural adjectival nouns end in '-en' when used after 'die'.
Plural adjectival nouns used without articles end in 'e' in nominative and accusative and 'en' in dative.
