Show transcript
Some verbs are followed by prepositions and the accusative case, and some are followed by prepositions and the dative. Some nouns and adjectives are followed by set prepositions and cases, which, like the verbs, need to be learnt. The prefix 'da(r)-' can be added to prepositions to refer to something already mentioned. This is called a da- compound. When performing a role-play, answers should be a short phrase or sentence. Do not add unnecessary detail. It is helpful to categorise vocabulary by theme when revisiting large number of words.
