I can confidently read aloud and answer reading comprehension questions about visiting Germany and its festivals.

It is important to have a good knowledge of sound-symbol correspondences to accurately read aloud in German.
Look out for tricky sounds and cognates, and mentally rehearse before reading aloud.
The most important thing for successful reading comprehension is a secure knowledge of vocabulary.
It is also very helpful to look out for synonyms and distractors when answering reading comprehension questions.
When translating, 'zoom in' to translate individual words and 'zoom out' to check the meaning of the whole sentence.
