Show transcript
To talk about what you like in the present tense, use the irregular verb 'mögen'. The forms of 'mögen' are: 'ich mag', 'du magst', 'er, sie, es mag', 'wir mögen', 'ihr mögt', 'Sie, sie mögen'. The conditional form of 'mögen' is 'möcht-' and this is used to talk about what you would like or would like to do. 'Möcht-' can be used without a second verb, to express what you would like: for example, in a café or when shopping. 'Möcht-' is also commonly used with a second verb in the infinitive to express future wishes.
