I can understand texts about different religions and festivals and I can describe a photo of a celebration using the present tense.

The acronym PALM is useful for describing photos. It stands for People, Action, Location, Mood. It is useful to add opinions to personalise photo descriptions. There is only one present tense in German. This is important to remember when describing what is happening in a photo.
