Use the comparative to make comparisons. Add '-er' to adjectives or adverbs to form the comparative.
Use 'als' to say 'than', e.g., 'die Maus ist kleiner als die Katze'.
Use the superlative to express the highest degree of something, e.g., 'the most interesting', 'the best'.
Use 'am' and add '-sten' to the adjective/adverb if used after a verb or noun, e.g., 'ich spiele am liebsten Fußball'.
