At the end of a word, [-ig] is pronounced as a soft [ch], as in 'richtig'. In Austria, it sounds like [k].
Prepositions used with some verbs in German may not be the same as those used with the same verbs in English.
Prepositions may change the form of the article that follows, as they are used with specific cases.
Verbs with the preposition 'für' are always followed by the accusative. Verbs with 'vor' are followed by the dative.
Verbs with the preposition 'auf' usually take the accusative. Verbs with 'an' are often followed by the dative.
