Show transcript
Boudica was the wife of an important British king, Prasutagus; they lived with their daughters in the east of England. At this time, Britain was ruled over by a group of people called the Romans. The Romans had come to Britain and forced the people living there to do what they said. The Romans allowed some kings, like Prasutagus, to keep on ruling if they did what they were told. When Prasutagus died, Boudica became queen, but the Romans wanted to take control of her lands.
