I can explain what a part-part-whole model is.

Use a variety of contexts to show the whole group partitioned into 2 clearly identifiable parts. Describe the parts and wholes in full sentences . A whole group of objects can be composed of 2 or more parts. Use a part-part-whole diagram to represent the two parts and the whole. Recognise the whole and the two parts are the same quantity.
