I can round a decimal number with hundredths to the nearest whole number
Show transcript
Identify the next and previous whole numbers to the number being rounded.
Identify which whole number is nearest to the number being rounded.
If the value of the tenths is 5 or greater then round up to the next whole number.
If the value of the tenths is less than 5, ignore the tenths and round down to the whole number.
To round a number with hundredths to the nearest whole number, you only need to look at the tenths.
