Often plants are grown as crops for people to eat.
Some crops can be grown locally, including in gardens and school grounds.
Sustainable crop growth occurs when a farmer or gardener makes sure that the soil and plants are cared for.
Sustainable crops in the UK include wheat, fruit, potatoes and other vegetables.
