I can use present tense verbs to talk about what people celebrate at school.

For words ending in a vowel, -n or -s, if the stress is on the final syllable, an accent is needed.
For words ending in a vowel, -n or -s, if the stress is on the penultimate syllable, no accent is needed.
Simple present verb endings change depending on who it refers to: -o ('I'), -as/-es ('you'), -amos/-emos/-imos ('we').
Spanish uses the simple present for actions or plans happening today, while English uses the present continuous.
