I can use the suffix '-idad' to broaden my vocabulary, and the simple present to translate a text into Spanish about immediate plans to respond to a breaking news story.
Show transcript
The Spanish suffix '-idad' is like '-ity' in English; use it to change adjectives into nouns, e.g. 'real' - 'realidad'.
All Spanish nouns ending '-idad' are feminine.
Spanish uses the simple present to express immediate plans; instead, English uses the present continuous (-ing).
'Qué' with an accent on the 'e' is the question word 'what'. 'Que' without an accent is a conjunction meaning 'that'.
