Show transcript
The verb 'parecer' means 'to seem, seeming'. After a modal verb like 'poder', we use it in its infinitive form. Demonstrative adjectives (e.g. ‘this’, ‘these’) are used to distinguish one thing from another. To say 'this' for a singular masculine noun, use 'este', to say 'these' for a plural masculine noun, use 'estos'. To say 'this' for a singular feminine noun, use 'esta', to say 'these' for a plural feminine noun, use 'estas'. Spanish doesn't have a word for 'do' in questions like in English. Only the main verb is used.
