I can use demonstrative adjectives and the comparative structure 'tan … como' to describe the Canary Islands in Spanish.

'Ese' means 'that' before a singular or uncountable masculine noun.
'Esa' means 'that' before a singular or uncountable feminine noun.
'Esos' and 'esas' mean 'those' before plural masculine and plural feminine nouns.
Most Spanish adjectives agree in gender and number with the noun.
'Tan ... como' means 'as ... as' in comparisons.
