Show transcript
The negatives 'nada', 'nunca', 'nadie' and 'ninguno' can be used before a verb, or after as part of a double negative. To mean 'you' in an informal context, use 'tú'. In a formal context, use 'usted'. It is common to address unfamiliar as people 'usted', for example in commercial settings like a shop or restaurant. The plural form of 'usted' is 'ustedes'. 'usted' and 'ustedes' respectively take the 3rd person singular and plural forms of the verb.
